Move Your Body 30

One of my spiritual teachers, Sunny Dawn Johnston, has created a movement called MoveYour Body 30. It is catchy, only thirty minutes, and the results set your tone for the day not to mention if you do it first thing, you are done! No excuses, just thirty minutes, and you, my friend, are worth it!

I have always exercised at a gym. However, during the recent pandemic that hit our world in 2020, gyms were closed. I am embarrassed to say I had no idea how good it felt to be out in nature even just in my subdivision! It forced me to leave the confines of my home to get my thirty minutes in. Even my husband got on the bandwagon and while he has now returned to work, he gets up earlier and walks every morning.

Look at it as setting the tone to receive your energy for the day and to get your endorphins going. Starting your morning energetically releases dopamine and is pivotal in helping to kick-start your day!

I am smiling as I write this. I have never taken the time to just enjoy nature in my neighborhood and surrounding area. I saw people on horseback and met others walking their dogs. I noticed a new insect that I had never seen and after posting a picture on Facebook found out it is one to steer clear of! Apparently, its sting is extremely painful! I enjoyed watching the sunrise over the mountains and the tops of saguaros where sometimes a bird was perched soaking up the rays. I even made note of a cacti seedling and will be anxious to watch it grow. I always thought I would have to drive my car someplace to experience nature, but in all honesty, it is as easy as walking out your front door!

Are you sitting on the couch reading this right now? Are you thinking, "Okay. I will start tomorrow?" Seriously? Come on! I encourage you to get up, grab a coat, mittens, and hat if you need one, go outside and start walking! Even if it is only fifteen minutes. Just get started. Please do it now for you because you are worth it! You will be amazed at how much better you feel! Trust me. I promise! at sixty-six, If I can do it, I know you can, too!
